Starting around ten ago, “Gates” grew on me, and pretty rapidly. I realized that it was Yes’s best song, conceptually and lyrically. And Squire is absolutely on fire—though not in-your-face like on, say, “Heart of the Sunrise” or “Tempus Fugit.” Relayer might be the best Steve Howe ever sounded in Yes, and the same goes for Alan.

Relayer were a band from Houston*, who managed to release one album before disappearing into the mists of time. With a name like Relayer and a colorful rainbow fantasy cover, one can expect 'Gates of Delirium Part Deux' eh Oui?

Oct 17,  · 3. The Gates of Delirium (Studio run through) This album is a lot different than some earlier Yes stuff. Patrick Moraz was using prototype synthezisers not yet released, and some of the percussion used were things out of junk yards like brakes and other metal car parts. Relayer met with a lot of mixed feelings. Some said “This isn’t the Yes.

But the new live album also highlights some of Yes’ most adventurous work with an excerpt from “The Ancient,” a track that appeared on ’s Tales From Topographic Oceans, and “Soon,” which is the final section in “The Gates Of Delirium” from ’s Relayer. The cover of YES 50 LIVE was painted by Roger Dean, whose artwork.

“Relayer” is the seventh studio album of Yes and was released in The line up on the album is Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Patrick Moraz and Alan White. “Relayer” is the successor of the majestic and controversial album, “Tales From Topographic Oceans”. However, it has very little resemblance to that particular album.
